Goshen Valley Classic

The Goshen Valley Classic is a charity golf event that provides financial support to the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, located in northwest Cherokee County, Georgia. The inaugural Classic was held on September 25th, 2006, at the Atlanta National Golf Club.

The Challenge:

 TMSi’s critical task for the Ranch’s first outreach and development event was to identify and secure the appropriate target audience—those who had the financial means and desire to support the mission of the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch. To create a first-class event with a limited budget, TMSi energetically negotiated contracts, developed sponsorship programs, obtained silent auction items, and acquired hole-in-one insurance—a new car!

The Results:

 Over 100 golfers, staff, and volunteers participated in the inaugural event. The Classic exceeded its goal by raising nearly $50,000 in revenue for the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch. “The results were spectacular… on time, on budget,” said John Blend, founder of the Goshen Valley Boys Ranch. Sponsors and participants conveyed their high praise for the warmth and professionalism of the TMSi team. After the first year’s success, the Goshen Valley Classic will return to the Atlanta National Golf Club on October 9, 2007, with TMSi as its organizing sponsor.
