Jene Schumacher
is President and co-founder of The Meeting Source, Inc. (TMSi). Since TMSi’s inception in the Fall of 2001, Jene has played a leading role in hotel negotiations and relationships.
Jene is a seasoned event manager, with more than 25 years experience in corporate meeting planning, marketing and customer relationship management for large corporations and technology companies. Her extraordinary commitment to quality and personal service is the foundation of TMSi’s success.
Originally from western Iowa, Jene pursued her education in Journalism at Iowa State University. Jene earned the designation of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) in January 1996 and is an active member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and Georgia Meeting Professionals International (GaMPI).
Tracey Bearden
, Vice President and co-founder of TMSi, has been in the event management industry for over ten years. Tracey’s strong organizational skills have made managing budgets and timelines her specialty.
Tracey began her event management career as a contract Meeting Planner. In addition to meeting planning, Tracey was the Sales Manager for a technology company in Atlanta and worked in Marketing Support for UPS. Tracey’s background gives her the unique experience to successfully manage Incentives, Sales Meetings, User Groups and large Conferences.
A native of Atlanta, Tracey earned her BA from the University of Georgia. Tracey has attended the MPI Institute and is currently working towards her CMP designation.
Trish Del Greco
has been a Senior Meeting Planner with TMSi since February 2006. Trish’s expertise includes Hotel and Destination Management.
Prior to joining TMSi, Trish was a Senior Meeting Planner in the pharmaceutical industry. She also held positions as Catering Manager with the Swissôtel and Senior Catering Manager at the InterContinental Hotel. Previous to her work in the hospitality industry, Trish was Corporate Travel Manager and Meeting Planner for a healthcare company in the Atlanta area. With her wide breadth of experience, Trish is an integral part of the TMSi team. Her ability to perform multiple roles for any one program creates a seamless attendee experience—resulting in high quality service with minimal communication breakdowns.
Born in Long Island, NY, Trish grew up in Metro Atlanta where she attended Georgia State University. Trish is an active member of MPI and GaMPI and currently pursuing her CMP designation. Trish has also been an active member of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) and the Georgia Business Travel Association (GBTA).
Mike Nugent
joined TMSi in November 2003 as Controller and Senior Manager of Technology. In addition to his responsibilities as TMSi’s Controller, Mike oversees funds management and application development of TMSi’s Program Management Tools.
Mike has more than 24 years of executive-level experience in operations management and technology. Most recently, he served as VP of Operations at Hyperion where he was responsible for top-line revenue growth and establishing a $100 million business plan for an emerging eCRM Business Unit. Previous to Hyperion, Mike was the executive responsible for Worldwide Customer Service and Corporate Information Technologies at Indus International where he developed and implemented a system to measure financial and operational effectiveness. Also while at Indus, Mike was executive sponsor of the Indus Customer User Group—overseeing the Annual User Conference with a dedicated budget attracting thousands of attendees—giving him front-line experience with the challenges and opportunities TMSi clients face.
Mike was raised in the Washington, D.C. area and earned his BS in Accounting from Radford University in Virginia. Soon after graduating, he went to work at the Headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Investigation as an Internal Auditor and Accountant.
